Kvaratskhelia bids farewell to Napoli in social media video
Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia posted a video on social media on Thursday to announce his departure from Serie A side Napoli.
"It's hard for me but it's time to say goodbye," 23-year-old Kvaratskhelia said but he did not give details on where his future lies.
In a nearly five-minute video showing him in various symbolic locations in Naples, the 2023 Scudetto winner, voted Serie A's best player that season, said he had experienced "amazing emotions" since joining the club in July 2022.
"It was a great honour for me to wear this (Napoli) jersey... I say goodbye, but you will always be in my heart," Kvaratskhelia added.
Napoli coach Antonio Conte announced on Saturday the player had asked to leave the club.
Kvaratskhelia scored 30 goals and provided 29 assists in 107 matches in all competitions for Napoli.
Rumours in recent days have linked to the highly-coveted attacker with a move to French club Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG are in negotiations to sign the player, according to a source close to the deal.
