Ireland coach Farrell looks forward to a 'Series to remember'
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell said November's quartet of Tests bookended by New Zealand and Australia, will be a "Series to remember."
For Farrell it will also be the last Tests where he takes charge of Ireland before he steps away temporarily to assume his role as head coach of the British and Irish Lions, who tour Australia next year.
Argentina and Fiji are the other two sides the Irish will pit their wits against.
"This November's lineup is a hugely exciting one for the Irish rugby public and we are looking forward to competing against four hugely talented sides," Farrell said in an Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) statement.
"There is an added dimension to this year's Autumn Series, with a fourth match against Australia set to mark the IRFU's 150th celebrations.
"We look forward to testing ourselves against some of the most exciting teams in the world, with whom Ireland has such strong traditions and rivalries.
"It promises to be a Series to remember."
Ireland will host the All Blacks at Lansdowne Road on Friday, November 8, with the Irish seeking a measure of revenge for their devastating loss to the New Zealanders in last year's Rugby World Cup quarter-final.
World Cup semi-finalists Argentina are next on the card on November 15 followed by the crowd pleasing World Cup quarter-finalists Fijians on November 23.
Farrell's men round off their packed schedule at home on November 30 to the Wallabies, who will be hoping Schmidt can revive them as he did Ireland during his six year tenure (2013-19).
Ireland will have played all three of the southern hemisphere giants come year's end as they travel to world champions South Africa for a two Test series in July.
The Irish were the only side to beat South Africa at the World Cup in a memorable pool match.
