Black Justice Fund Launches Nationwide Search to Invest in the Next Wave of Grassroots Leaders Driving Change In America
31-Year-Old Visionary Founder, Champions $150k Black Justice Fund to Empower Grassroots Leaders Amid National Challenges to DEI Initiatives
WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESS Newswire / January 29, 2025 / In response to growing opposition to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives nationwide, Darius Baxter, the visionary founder of GOODProjects, has partnered with foundations across the country to launch the Black Justice Fund. With GOODProjects initial commitment up to $150,000 for 2025, the fund is designed to invest in grassroots leaders committed to driving systemic change in their communities.

The Black Justice Fund will provide grants to 8-10 grassroots leaders nationwide who are tackling historic inequality and advancing social justice. Through this fund, GOODProjects seeks to empower individuals already making an impact in their communities by providing financial support, mentorship, and the resources needed to further their work.
"Given the current climate where DEI initiatives and federal funds for community efforts are under attack, it's more important than ever to ensure that the work being done by grassroots leaders is not only supported but is amplified," said Darius Baxter. "The Black Justice Fund is about more than just funding; it's about creating sustainable change by investing in the leaders from all walks of life who know their communities best and who are already making a difference."
This initiative is aligned with GOODProjects' mission to break the cycle of generational poverty and address the systemic inequities that have long impacted marginalized communities. The fund will focus on leaders working in areas such as economic empowerment, youth leadership, social justice, and community development.

"Now is the time to invest in these leaders who are working on the ground every day to dismantle the systems that perpetuate inequality and bigotry," said Baxter. "Through the Black Justice Fund, we're ensuring that their work continues and is supported in tangible ways."
The Black Justice Fund will be launched in conjunction with Purpose Tour 2025, a nationwide series of closed-door sessions aimed at bringing together community leaders and activists to discuss social justice, youth empowerment, and community leadership. However, the primary focus remains on empowering those on the front lines of systemic change, as they are the true agents of transformation.
